About Rachael

This website (or blog, or blogsite) is my brainchild.

I’ve been blogging since late 2002 (thankfully nobody can read what I wrote back then, eek), and I’ve been a naive teenager, a wife, a single mother, divorced twice, remarried twice, pregnant five times, a college student, a waitress, a library page, an office manager, a web designer, a writer, a budgeting consultant, a seminar presenter, stressed out beyond belief, and deliriously happy, although not in that order and not more than six or seven at once.

In short, I’ve had enough life experiences at this point that I feel compelled to share what I know with all of you. My passion is always to learn more - to do what I do better - and to, in the end, make and have a better life for myself and my family. I have wanted a place to put all the bits and pieces of knowledge that I have, and thus this website was born.

The good thing for you is that I’ve done the things I write about. I’ve used that menu plan, I’ve budgeted that way, I’ve tried that web app. The bad thing for you is that, well, it’s all my own perspective. Of course, I think that’s the charm of any website - its own unique voice.

Please don’t forget to subscribe to the blog feed, so you can stay updated on the myriad odds and ends I keep in my brain.
